Vera & Viola Visit the Vanderbilts Paper Dolls by Patti Fertel
Model: Elegant early 20th c. styles
Vera and Viola, created by Patti Fertel, are based on Edwardian fashions found in the pages of women’s magazines such as Ladies Home Journal and McCall’s from the first decade of the 20th century. These two elegant ladies have extensive wardrobes appropriate for a weekend visit to a grand Vanderbilt mansion.
Patricia Fertel has been a collector of paper dolls for over forty years. She also creates paper dolls based on early fashion illustrations from the mid-nineteenth to the mid-twentieth centuries. Many of her works have been produced in limited editions, and two have been published by Paper Doll Review Press.
